St. Joseph’s Technical Institute for the Deaf Nyang’oma is an integrated Public TVET-accredited institution in Bondo Sub-County. The college is seeking to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following positions:


1. Position: Human Resource Officer

  • No. of Posts: 1

  • Terms of Service: Permanent

  • Basic Salary Scale: Kshs 29,190 – 34,440 P.M.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Capital Management, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Business Management, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

  • Membership in a professional body such as IPM, KIM, IHRM, AAPAM, KAPAM, or any other recognized association.

  • Proficiency in computer use and applications.

  • Demonstrated professional competence in work performance and results.

  • A valid certificate of good conduct.

Job Summary:

  • Development, interpretation, implementation, and review of HR policies.

  • Coordination of staff recruitment, selection, placement, training, and development.

  • Managing salary administration, staff records, and information systems.

  • Handling industrial relations, staff welfare, pension schemes, and training programs.

  • Ensuring compliance with employment laws and standards.


2. Position: Electrical Engineering Technician

  • No. of Posts: 1

  • Terms of Service: Contract

  • Basic Salary Scale: Kshs 23,780 – 29,190 P.M.

Job Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

  • Candidates with a Craft Certificate in Electrical Engineering have an added advantage.

  • Proficiency in computer use and applications.

  • A valid certificate of good conduct.

Job Summary:

  • Supervise workshop training operations.

  • Oversee trainees in practical sessions and ensure safety regulations are followed.

  • Perform demonstrations and provide technical support.

  • Maintain workshop inventory and schedule equipment maintenance.

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in compliance with regulations.

  • Respond promptly to electrical faults and keep accurate repair records.


3. Position: Plumbing Technician

  • No. of Posts: 1

  • Terms of Service: Contract

  • Basic Salary Scale: Kshs 23,780 – 29,190 P.M.

Job Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Water Engineering from a recognized institution.

  • Candidates with a Craft Certificate in Plumbing have an added advantage.

  • Proficiency in computer use and applications.

  • A valid certificate of good conduct.

Job Summary:

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in accordance with local codes.

  • Work with construction teams for plumbing installations.

  • Diagnose plumbing issues and implement corrective measures.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and building codes.

  • Maintain accurate records of plumbing activities.


4. Position: Accountant

  • No. of Posts: 1

  • Terms of Service: Internship

  • Stipend: Kshs 20,000

Job Qualifications:

  • Part II of CPA or Diploma in Accountancy from a recognized institution.

  • Two (2) years of relevant experience in a similar organization.

  • Proficiency in computer use and applications.

  • A valid certificate of good conduct.

Job Summary:

  • Preparation of final accounts and financial statements.

  • Processing and verifying payment vouchers.

  • Monitoring and controlling institutional expenditure.

  • Managing institutional cash flow.

  • Preparing financial reports, budgets, and expenditure returns.
