Overview of the HR Office
Our vision as a college is to be recognized as a preferred employer and provider of innovative and results-oriented human resources services, policies, and systems.
Human resources department takes a role of providing service in support of St. Josephs Technical Institute for the deaf, Nyangoma College’s vision by promoting the concept that our employees are our most valuable resource and treated as such. The department acts as a medium to enable all employees to contribute at optimum levels towards the success of the College.
This is done by:
-Ensuring that the staff are given the tools, training and motivation to operate in the most efficient and effective manner;
-Promoting and recruiting the best-qualified people, and recognizing and encouraging the value of diversity in the workplace;
-Providing a work atmosphere that is safe, healthy and secure;
-Establishing, administering and effectively communicating sound policies, rules and practices that treat employees with dignity and equality while maintaining college compliance with employment and labour laws and corporate directives.
