Overview of the Department

Research is one of the key focus areas in SJTTID that informs innovations and supports academic activities. St. Joseph’s TID has enough potential for high quality research in the good number of qualified staff in diverse areas of specialization.

Presentations by staff and students in research conferences including Robotics and publications are becoming a common place in the institution. Innovations from staff and students have attained significant positions in the regional and national TVET Fairs.

To elevate the mandate of the research so that we can involve the community by providing solutions to the problems through our innovations

Goal

To continually build staff and students capacity to enable increased applied research and innovation within and beyond the confines of the institution.

Objectives

1. To promote research and innovation activities among staff and students in the institution
2. Support and encourage staff and students to conduct high quality research that is relevant to societal needs.
